ooooo ... Look at me ....
This blog was created to share my challenges, accomplishments and musings of having Type-1 diabetes. Diabetes doesn't define me, but it helps explain me.* Like every other dimension in my life (and yours), certain things get focus at certain times. This blog will focus on the diabetes dimension of my life and how it affects everything else that's going on.
ooooo...Look at Me...
I am a 41 year old husband, father and type-1 diabetic. This year I will be "celebrating" (notice the quotes) 25 years with Type-1 diabetes. Good times. Good times.
Generally speaking, I have been pretty darned healthy most of my life. No long term complications. I manage my A1Cs from about 5.1 to 6.1 with help of an insulin pump and a healthy lifestyle. I have run 5 marathons in the past two and a half years and I completed the Boston Marathon for the second time in April.
I am the Chief Marketing officer for a software company and I live in the suburbs of Boston.
